This year to celebrate the 50th year of the ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ competition, the organisers have decided to let us, the public to vote for our very own winner in the newly added category of ‘People’s Choice Award’. 50 images have been selected for us to choose from by the jury from 41,000 entries posted by photographers from around 100 countries. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in October. Their photo will be placed alongside winners from all of the other categories when publicly displayed at the Natural History Museum in London on 24 October before heading off on an international tour.
